July 27, 2019 @ 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm
A prominent mindfulness teacher once wrote that if he had to distill the Buddha’s entire teaching down to one sentence, it would be “attach to nothing as me or mine.” Years ago, a shift in perspective about attachment altered my focus and dramatically increased my progress with this critical element of practice. In this session, I’ll share the insight that led to that shift and guide a seated meditation based upon it.
We’ll be meeting at the Lucia Mastrangelo Meeting Room on the second floor of the Watertown library at 2:15. Feel free to bring cushions, pillows, etc. for our sitting, and there are chairs available if that’s preferred.
The format will be similar to our previous meetups: some quick intros, a brief talk called “Shattering Attachment,” a 30ish-minute sitting, and time for Q+A and general discussion.
Looking forward to another great event!
